So in-depth. My father was a well decorated soldier in the 357th but never really talked about the war. After reading One Tough Ombre I can understand why. Great read.

I enjoyed the way that this book was put together. The author used great skill at keeping the story moving forward. If you like stories about the common foot soldier, don't pass this one up.

I actually know the author of this book, having gone to grade school and high school with him. It is a very interesting book, especially for those of us who lived during the war and know or knew some of the veterans of WW2. John puts a personal touch in his writings

John Sandifer's book describing his uncles experiences in WWII in Europe is a fascinating read that will hold your attention. I found that i couldn't put the book down and almost felt that I was there. Well written and meticulously researched with observations from both US and German perspectives. Well done.
