Patton's Third Army.  European Theatre of Operations.  In the 358th Infantry Regiment of the 90th Infantry Division,  Sarge Goodson tries to adjust from his family life in Childress, Texas,  to the horror of war.   He will say,  "What I think about the most, is the ones we left behind.  They gave everything and nobody cares anymore."
